I need to get to the Labyrinth of Tigers for a ocelot. Can you get there with the dangerous making your name storyline, or do you have to buy your way in with 5000 rats?

You can unlock the Labyrinth through Making Your Name, no worries. It's Mahogany Hall that you need to buy your way into still.

IIRC [add this to everything in the post], you need to get the dangerous beasts tracker to a certain number. the only uncapped one is the sorrow-spider colony, but you could do the weaker ones to increase it first. I believe it should tell you how high each one will work up to.
