I find myself with an alt who wishes to become an enforcer, but aided against the cheery man and my shadowy seems high enough now that I can't draw the card I need to get plotting against the masters.

Have I borked myself here? Or is there some way to still get this profession?

I'll accept any actions, except loitering and Affluent Photographer (will accept dupes).

(Burtus Leadbetter, Enforcer) Wot you mean? You nees just be quiet an' such an be Nice wid da Radicals....

That's enough Brutus, you lack the ability to speak full sentences.

As you can see in my signature, I have an Enforcer (looking to go up the ranks to a Murderer with his Unsigned Message in hand, but I Digress.)
He achieved it through the first option available drawn, which was Revolutionaries. For that option, you simply need to have Revolutionaries 15 and Shadowy 45+ to draw A commission from anarchists - Flames. it in no way locks the card out when it's higher Shadowy. (And remember you are drawing a lot of other cards in your deck now, so the RNG doesn't promise an instant draw without Favourable Circumstances, and not all cards can do that option.)
As long as you choose a revolutionary cause, you'll gain the first point of the Enforcer's Plotting Against the Masters value through Revolutionaries. (If for some reason that value is not enough to grant it the 1 ranking, you will need to draw the other card A commission from anarchists - Silk and choose Down to business.)

Finally, you may use the Choose Campaigner as your Profession on the Revolutionaries Connection card.
(And since you never gain anything relevant from her side, in future characters, always Choose the Cheery Man. He even gets his own card drawn later for Criminals rankings and other stuff.)

And as an answered bonus (as you can see by my handle, it's my thing,) if you ever need something that lowers a stat, you can equip a Talkative Rattus Faber for -25 stat points across all stats. A more permanent solution is by drinking Bottled Oblivion (or going to the Cave of the Nadir for too long later in your advancement.) This is a good way to gain more Change Points for something you just got locked out of and are good at succeeding on as well as drawing cards locked by your too high stats.

Thanks for the reply, my friend! It's honestly less my character and more my brother's, but I haven't gotten him on the forums yet haha. I'm happy as I am, Cosmogone in hand.

BTW: that card *used* to be locked away at higher shadowy, but that requirement disappeared somewhen in early 2014 (iirc).
