No to your first question, as far as I remember. You interact with the ambassador of the Wriggling Courts, for what that's worth, and explore a cat tomb. The postscript give a different and updated view on the aftermath of the decision. The text also indicates "a shining scaled robe, splendidly banded in red and black and gold." But let me add, I don't actually have an unusual robe of any kind, so it may have been in the form of parabola linen.

How do I finish the Empyrian Redolence stuff? I got Diocesian Intrigue up to five but I haven't gotten any more opportunity cards since and I don't see any storylets anywhere that will let me make the final choice.

You just have to wait for the RNG to take pity on you and give the right card.

I just want to post this here, both because I am very salty and as a warning to others:

I just finished the "Bound in Diocesian Intrigue" plotline. Picking the option where you refuse to help the Bishop resets your alignment in the Affair of the Box to "A Guardian of the Realm" - which means that if you picked "Conscience of Empire", you will gain A Turncoat next time you pick the normal options.

I want to say that this is really kind of unfair on the part of the devs, here - I had no warning that my choice there would affect an entirely different plotline, and in addition not wanting to see London invaded again doesn't really seem to logically entail that you support the Masters. Anyway, be warned.

I played through Secrets Framed in Gold some time ago, but I seem to have entirely forgotten the lore of it! Could someone please refresh my memory? What was the deal with the painting and what were the final choices again?

I bowed out before the end, but it was a series of paintings over other paintings, each more scandalous with the last. I stopped at the point with the two devils and the correspondence stone.
The painting is of a member of the clergy and his devil lover. The final choice lets you spare the Repentant Forger, or push him to finish stripping the painting. If you push you lose his Acquaintance (and can only regain it with Fate) to discover a Correspondence symbol in the canvas, and can later tell the Bazaar the story, unlocking the Passion destiny.
I've been doing the Mysteries of the Foreign Office questline and I've reached the choice between the Face and the Teeth. Under the requirements, it says unlocked with no successful terms and governor. Do the rewards change if I complete a term? Are they noticeably better?

Hallo! You mean this one? This storylet will open a colonial government for you so you can't complete a term without picking it before. Mysteries questline allows you to choose a spouse / home comfort (particularly two spouses and one HC per faction) and opens a couple of storylets inside a carousel, none of options seems to have any extra modifiers of outcome.

I think you have solved my mystery. On another thread I was bemoaning and puzzling the fact that I was branded a turncoat the very first time I ever played the box carousel, having never declared for the Masters and only ever picking anti-Masters options. I played Bound in Diocesian Intrigue a long time before I got around to doing the Affair of the Box and had forgotten all about it (besides which I had no idea what the qualities I picked up there did). Seems my alignment was decided for me by my conduct with the bishop.

Feels a bit inconsistent to me. There are plenty of other ways to help and harm the Masters in the game that don't do this, so it seems a bit odd that this one singular action does it. Anyway, perhaps you can take some solace from the fact that you've helped someone else out in solving my mystery for me. Now I at least know it wasn't a bug.

I did that before I purchased the Mysteries line. I was talking about how at the end of the Mysteries quest line, when choosing between Teeth and Face, it says that it's unlocked by not having any terms as governor.

I was browsing the Wiki for Flint related content and found this
http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/The_Imperturbable_Patroness
20 Dangerous, 10 Watchful, 3 Dreaded. Is she a temporary ally? I never see folks talking about her in terms of minmaxing.

Also, is a Dreadful Surmise guaranteed for Flint? (I intend to do Flint at the start of next month, when I allow myself to purchase more fate, and would like to get that for Sacksmas 2018/19).

She is very temporary, only with you for a short while at the Prison of Flint (long enough for her stats to help you with exactly one stat check, I think). If there was a way to bring her Londonwards with you, believe me, I'd be first on that train!

A Dread Surmise is not guaranteed, but it is one of the rewards available at the very end, and the three final options tell you in italicised text exactly what they will give you, so if you need a Surmise it's pretty hard to miss.

What does the Obdurate Stallion's Opportunity card give? I used mine up for breeding and don't remember what it gives and I need to decide if I want to use my Tomb-Lion to make another Stallion (for the opportunity card) or for resources.

It's not great. Luck challenge to gain a Society favor, plus some gain/lose of Suspicion.

Also required to breed an Owl. And I think it's the create that advances the Diocesan Intrigue storyline.

Yeah, I'd rather turn it into resources. I already have my owl and have completed Diocesian Intrigue.

So due to the recent constant server problems, the game timed out on me three times in a row, and extremely annoyingly, this caused it to skip past the result of a couple of important actions toward the end of an exceptional story.

I would be extremely grateful if someone could send me the results of the following actions:

In The Waltz that moved the World, after getting off the ride,
-entering the tent
-encouraging her to dance
-letting her do the thing

I'm quite annoyed that the game just skips something that important, that I paid to be able to read, without confirmation, if the page times out. Three times in a row nonetheless, and now I'm considering asking for a refund.

With the game behaving how it is right now, I am not doing any important or one-time content at all. It just isn't worth it. I shall wait until things improve, assuming that they do.

Yeah, I've learned my lesson now. I just needed to vent a little, but I've calmed down by now wink I decided reading the echoes/rewards from someone else will be good enough, so if anyone has those, I'd be happy to receive them.

Have FBG said anything about the recent issues that I missed? Are they aware of it?

Edit: A friendly someone from customer support has reset the story for me! Echoes won't be needed anymore.
