Does anyone know the final mechanical differences between siding with the Constable and the Cheery Man, once the stories are all said and done?

There can be only one happy ending.

I mean to say, are there any cards that will appear in the Opportunity Deck (repeatable and permanent) or options on existing cards depending on who one sides with? (The Cherry Man or the Constable). Once everything is settled, are there lasting opportunities anywhere to be found?

i started this story when i was new to the game and it feels so strange.
you see in the first part of the story zorgan sided with the constable but then almost at the last minuet stabbed her in the back in exchange for the cheery mans favour
and if that zorgan had been the one doing this he would have rigged the game happily
but the zorgan that helped the cheery man finish his feud didn't do that he even professed his love him.
in a way it reflects the way my attitude has changed towards him from a generic underworld boss to an individual i adored and respected
he of course then promptly died in the first round and broke my heart.

I didn't realize how lucky I got until I started reading back through this thread. Jeez.

I opted to replay this story because it was all too long ago. Does anyone known how/where it starts?

Some sneaking around the wiki indicates that it's an option inside the "Study the Secrets of Fallen London" storylet in Ladybones Road. I'm half-surprised it's not an Opportunity Card.

Thanks, PSGarak. I did look but couldn't figure it out (and like you say, expected it to be a card).

I've been trying to draw this card with my alt, Keilios, who sided with the constable. Based on what I've seen and talked to a few others the card doesn't seem to drop as often. Or maybe Keilios just has abysmal luck or the fact that I want to see the other side of things is making it hard to draw, haha.

That being said Dubheasa did not feel so great about her outcome with it. But it was a wonderful, if painful, ride.

Dubheasa: Young woman, invisible eminence, and a lover of cats.
Keilios:Mysteriously gendered individual, quite fond of anything fun, terrible writer.
Sieffre De Sauveterre: Young man, newcomer, just so very lost.

Do you have A Name Whispered in Darkness 7? Because that's what the card requires to appear.

I have to admit, it's a little frustrating that "A message from an old acquaintance" can't be discarded. I was considering resetting the story (as I mentioned earlier in the thread, I missed a lot of content by blazing through the story when I was first starting out), but I don't have the Fate right now, and it's a little annoying having a slot basically taken up because I don't want to be locked into the story yet.

Would it be possible to make the card discardable?

I'm having the exact same problem, Daedalus. I'm refusing to do this story until it's able to be reset, now it's polluting my hand forever.
