Happy Australian Labour Day! Remember: devote eight hours to asking questions, eight hours to answering them, and eight hours to macramé.

Even though dangerous is by far the lowest of my stats (105) I can't find any new content connected to it. Is there anything to unlock after doing breeding monsters in 4th coil? If there is, could you give a hint?

As far as I know, that is the current content boundary. One may level Dangerous further with the War of Assassins and Velocipede Squad grind but so far there are no more story quests.

Nope, no more. The Velocipede Squad won't advance A Name Scrawled in Blood, by the way.

Also, if you don't plan to spend real money on the game, you have made a big mistake by advancing to the fourth coil; you have lost a very convenient set of storylets in the third coil.

Are there any plans to expand the number of cards which give Favours: Tomb-Colonies? Right now, the sources are so few, and some of them can be locked out of.

To Pan Tofel, though quoting Rostygold: All four Making Your Name storylines have seven levels. Some bonus storylets get unlocked by completing all seven levels, for those wanting to go to Port Carnelian or regain entry to the University, but once you're at level seven, you have completed the process of Making Your Name.

It's probably not a priority given that you can grind all you want just by working up your scandal.

Thank you for all the answers, the whole matter is now undeniably clearer to me.

To Rostygold: I actually am willing to spend real money on the game. Why, I already do, Failbetter deserves it like no other gaming companysmile. So... how does one find this convenient set of storylets and thus repair their mistake?

You should have a storylet available everywhere across London? Just pick one of the two options to attend (or the one to refuse).

I was recently fighting the rat army in the Bazaar Sidestreets, when I accidentally clicked the retreat option, removing my quality entirely. Is there any way to restart this storylet, or have I lost it forever?

The card to start it is back in your deck, though all progress has been lost.

The next Connected to Renown change is Constables, then Hell right? Does anyone know when the change will be implemented?

Failbetter hasn't said anything. My guess is that, with so many hands on deck for Sunless Skies, it won't be next week.

It's not for grinding.

However, the storylets do allow readily available raising of Magnanimous and Ruthless - handy when Christmas comes around. There is one Echo worth of resources to be had from these options too.

I am going to hazard a guess that you are referring to the exile in the Tomb-Colonies.

That's a terrible way to grind Favours: Tomb Colonies. There are only two cards which yield Favours, and no storylets either.

Has there been any consideration to decouple the use of Mark of Credit from the Counting the Days loop? It just doesn't make any narrative sense to me; the Marks of Credit are so sought-after by various factions, but the player character has to dilly-dally around before a deal can be made with the Marks.

P.S. I understand that the Counting the Days loop may be for setting up an appointment with the Numismatrix, but handing out the Marks of Credit to other people should not have to involve waiting.

Ah, but you have to set these things up properly, especially in London. For one thing, while Marks of Credit are valuable, pages from Marks are useless in themselves. You've got to find the right person who's on the lookout if you hope to get anything. For another, do you think you can just walk into the local constabulary and tell the officer in charge you've got a page from a Mark of Credit and want remuneration? You'll either be ignored, stonewalled, or investigated. If it's that bad with the police, imagine what happens if you just casually waltz into a thieves' den or try to pass your page on to a third-rate Brass Embassy functionary. You'd probably wake up with the Drownies. Even that's easier than hooking up with the right Rubbery Men. How do you find the right squid for the trade when they don't even speak a discernable language?

No, you've got to be careful about these things, work through the right channels, find the right buyer, and make sure you show up for the meeting with just the right heavily-muscled friends. It's not something you handle after tea because you're tired of following hollow-eyed strangers around Jekyll Gardens.
