I'm not really into marriage, but it'd be nice to somehow run into the Absconding Devil again and see what he's up to. Perhaps in Sunless Sea, at the Tomb Colonies and the Elder Continent, as an unnamed-but-slyly-referenced cameo appearance. I'm surprised he didn't show up on anyone's list, considering he is the one devil for whom there is canon evidence that he'd be willing to marry. (I'm still wondering what his scheme was. You get hints but nothing substantial. And what do a steel mill in the Tomb Colonies and someplace in the Elder Continent have in common?)

The way he smiles mirthlessly, dabs his eyes with a handkerchief, then slips you some tear-shaped diamonds... it's like he can't help being suave even when he's bitterly disappointed about something. If you're going to be leaving London forever, you might as well take out any hearts you can on the way out, eh?

Ahh yes, that act of the devil really captivated me. I would board of ship with him if I'd had the choice.

And currently, because of my intact soul I am still being charmed by the affectionate devil, if only he would remain after he achieved his goal. I'd sell my soul for it. (But ah, that was the thing he would be aiming for, isn't it? That damnable charming devil)

Of all the ones available, I only fell for devils. I hope for more intellectual and respectable choices, though Feducci was cute and I'm looking forward to meet that smuggler you all talked about, he seemed to have charmed many of you. The spouse choices were regrettably limited.

The artist model did not feel genuine, and I thought the thief had an eye for someone else. But even if I was mistaken, that meant I wasn't too charmed by him. Quite unfortunate.

For my main, I'd have to go with the last constable, she had such a nice story and i wish we could have talked more. My seeker would obviously go for Mr. Eaten, he's headed that way anyway. And my alt since they are insane anyway would most likely want to marry the jack of smiles! They could go on a killing spree together.

The Pirate-Poet, hands down. She had me at the two-line description. God, she absolutely commands the space she holds - even if that's only like, what. A few paragraphs and a couple lines?

The Ambivalent, poetess. Once, an arbiter, now entirely too prone to bouts of antagonism.

Dee the Dipper, salubriously subterranean. Seeking an Invisible Eminence.

I hope she commands the space she holds better than she commands her corvette. I'm getting a little tired of fishing her out of the zee after sinking it. I would advise she stick to the poetry, because she don't seem exactly cut out for piracy.

I suppose this is as good a place as any, for a first post.

Honestly, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the merry gentleman, yet. Always in a good mood, has a tragic past, owns his own business. If it wern't for all that business with Polythreme, I bet he'd be a regular womanizer, trying to wriggle his way out of my opportunity deck and into my heart.

On second thought, I'd probably settle for just getting him out of the opportunity deck, in all likelihood.
