Today I learned that when you use Favourable Circumstances to force a specific opportunity draw, it pushes the rightmost card out of your hand.

That stings when the rightmost card was a Mood.

Edit: Wait, the mood came back after I went back and played through the card. Huh. Weird.

It's a display issue. The number of cards in your hand increases by one, and so if you have a full hand, the rest get pushed aside. This behavior occurs for other actions that force-draw opportunity cards, like the Amanuensis and Seeking, if I recall correctly.

Same as moving to a 3 card lodging while having 5 cards in hand. They are back as soon as you discard them.

I was impatient when finishing the Stiff Drink story and tried to aid the Widow with a Hastily Scrawled Note and 50ish chance of success. Not a massive loss, but it stings to lose out on 2000 Jade because I wouldn't wait for a bit.

Started an expedition with 98% chance to succeed on 3 steps a time and enough supplies for two fails.

Failed twice and my rival progressed with every step, so I lost the expedition. Rip 65 echoes and my entire action stock.

@ Arcengal

Now that really is awful luck. "A sign" is sometimes very elusive. Commiserations from someone who did the Nadir expedition with 99 supplies and ended with just four to spare.
